Join any Minecraft server from your console

On Xbox, PlayStation and Switch, Minecraft has no "Add Server" button. With our DNS, a featured server opens a menu where you type the address of any server you like. Nothing to install, no account needed.

Primary DNS
95.170.30.25
Secondary DNS
1.1.1.1

The secondary DNS is required: ours only answers for Minecraft.

How it works

  1. You replace your console's DNS with ours. The featured servers (Mineville, Lifeboat, Galaxite, Enchanted) then point to our machine.

  2. You join one of them from the Servers tab: our menu opens instead of the real server.

  3. You type the address and port of the server you want. Minecraft sends you there, and the menu keeps your list for next time.

Set up your console's DNS

The idea is the same everywhere: manual DNS, primary 95.170.30.25, secondary 1.1.1.1. Leave every other setting as it is.

Xbox One and Xbox Series

  1. Settings, General, Network settings, Advanced settings.
  2. DNS settings, then Manual.
  3. Primary DNS: 95.170.30.25. Secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1.
  4. Confirm, then restart the console.

If your router has IPv6 turned on, the Xbox may ignore this DNS: see troubleshooting.

PlayStation 5

  1. Settings, Network, Settings, Set Up Internet Connection.
  2. On your network, press Options, then Advanced Settings.
  3. DNS Settings: Manual. Primary DNS: 95.170.30.25. Secondary DNS: 1.1.1.1.
  4. OK, then restart Minecraft.

PlayStation 4

  1. Settings, Network, Set Up Internet Connection.
  2. Use Wi-Fi or Use a LAN Cable, then Custom.
  3. IP Address Settings: Automatic. DHCP Host Name: Do Not Specify.
  4. DNS Settings: Manual. Primary: 95.170.30.25. Secondary: 1.1.1.1.
  5. MTU Settings: Automatic. Proxy Server: Do Not Use.

Nintendo Switch

  1. System Settings, Internet, Internet Settings.
  2. Pick your network, then Change Settings.
  3. DNS Settings: Manual.
  4. Primary DNS: 095.170.030.025. Secondary DNS: 001.001.001.001. Save.

The Switch wants three digits per block: pad with zeros, as above.

Join a server from the menu

The menu is in French. You only need four labels: « Rejoindre un serveur » (join a server), « Adresse du serveur » (server address), « Ajouter à ma liste » (add to my list) and « Gérer ma liste » (manage my list).

  1. Close Minecraft completely, then start it again.
  2. Servers tab: join Mineville, Lifeboat, Galaxite or Enchanted (not The Hive, which always opens the real server since 1.26.60). The HelloServ menu opens.
  3. Pick « Rejoindre un serveur ». Type the address in « Adresse du serveur » and the port in « Port » (usually 19132), without the colon.
  4. Tick « Ajouter à ma liste » to find it next time. « Gérer ma liste » lets you edit or remove it later.
  5. On your first connection, Minecraft asks whether you trust the server: accept. You won't be asked again.

Works with Minecraft 1.26.60

Since 1.26.60 (27 October 2026), consoles connect to servers with a new protocol, NetherNet. That update broke bridge apps such as BedrockTogether, MCCompanion and Phantom, and the BedrockConnect DNS servers still running the old mode.

Our menu runs in NetherNet mode. Every six hours it checks for a new BedrockConnect release and installs it on its own: the "Service status" box shows the Minecraft version it accepts right now.

Troubleshooting

The real featured server opens, not the menu
Your console isn't using our DNS yet. Check both addresses, then fully restart the console. On Xbox, if IPv6 is on in your router, the console goes through IPv6 and ignores the DNS you typed: turn IPv6 off in the router settings, then restart the Xbox.
The PlayStation refuses to connect to the network
Some PlayStations reject a primary DNS that only answers for Minecraft and fail the connection test. Switch back to automatic DNS: our DNS won't work on that console.
No internet on the console
The secondary DNS is missing or mistyped. Use 1.1.1.1 (on Switch: 001.001.001.001).
Endless loading after typing the address
The server you're joining probably hasn't moved to the 1.26.60 connection mode yet. Check the address and port, then ask the server's admin whether it's up to date.
The menu refuses to connect right after a Minecraft update
BedrockConnect has to ship a release for the new update. Our menu installs it within six hours: check the version shown in "Service status".

What doesn't work

  • iPhone and iPad: our DNS doesn't work there. You don't need it either: like on Android and PC, the Servers tab already has the "Add Server" button.
  • The featured servers themselves (Lifeboat, Mineville…): with our DNS, they open our menu. To play on them, switch back to automatic DNS.
  • Networks that force their own DNS (some school or office networks, a VPN): your console won't see ours.

Need a Bedrock server to play with friends on console? This DNS is run by HelloServ, a French game server host. Our Minecraft Bedrock servers are ready for 1.26.60.

FAQ

Is the HelloServ BedrockConnect DNS free?

Yes, free for everyone. No account, and you don't need to be a HelloServ customer.

Does it work with Minecraft 1.26.60?

Yes. Our menu runs in NetherNet mode, the connection mode consoles use since 1.26.60, and it updates itself whenever BedrockConnect ships a new release.

Why do I need a secondary DNS?

Our DNS only answers for Minecraft's featured servers. Everything else (store, updates, other games) goes through the secondary DNS, 1.1.1.1. Without it, your console loses internet access.

Can I still play on Lifeboat or Mineville?

Not with our DNS: those servers open our menu instead. Switch your console back to automatic DNS to play there, then back to manual DNS for your other servers.

Does it work on iPhone, iPad or Android?

You don't need it: on phones, tablets and PC, Minecraft already has the "Add Server" button in the Servers tab. Our DNS doesn't work on iPhone and iPad anyway.
